November 21 | 4-6PM
What is Advent?
If you haven't celebrated Advent before, the word advent comes from a Latin word meaning coming. In the Christian church calendar, it is the period of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas and also of preparation for the Second Coming of Christ.
We will provide the supplies to make an advent wreath, enjoy a hot chocolate bar, and talk through some resources for you and your family to use during this season. This event is for everyone regardless if you have kids or not or their ages. The resource book
(Family Advent Devotional) we will be using distinguishes discussion questions for families based on kids’ ages and could even be used among couples or housemates.
Click here to buy the book on Amazon ($20). If you cannot afford to buy the book, please let us know and we will order one for you. Bring along your book for our night together.
Can't make for the event? No problem, we'd love to still supply you with the materials and resources, use the same link to request a "take home" kit.
