Anthem Thousand Oaks is part a family of churches helping people find their way back to God. The Anthem family of churches is united around shared mission, vision, values, and submission to the Lordship of King Jesus. In our cities, we are working to obey Jesus in helping people find their way back to God.
In Anthem Kids, our mission is to help kids find their way back to God, connect with others, and contribute to changing the world.
KIDS MINISTRY AT ANTHEM CHURCH
In Anthem Kids, our mission is to help kids find their way back to God, connect with others, and contribute to changing the world. We believe that kids have the capacity to walk intimately with God, and we love to see them learn about Him and connect with Him through Bible stories, songs, and crafts.
Your First Visit
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information:
(NOTE: we value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone)
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Child's name
- Child's birthdate
- Email address
- Home address
- Phone number
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children.
If this is your first time checking in your child, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to get all squared away!
Check-In & Pick-Up
Each Sunday, you will need to check your child into Anthem Kids.
Before the gathering: Parents will check-in their kids with our Service Host who will print out a name tag and a claim tag that will be given to parents to present at check-out. This will include your child’s name and your phone number as well as information regarding specific allergies. From there you will walk them to their age-specific classroom.
After the gathering: When you return at the end of service you will check-out your child with a service host then hand the claim tag to the teacher.
During the gathering: In the event we need to contact you during the gathering, we will send you a text message to the cell number provided at check-in.
Every Sunday, we provide a safe environment for kids from birth through fifth grade, where they can learn about Jesus and connect with each other.
Every volunteer who serves in Anthem Kids has cleared a background check and is committed to making Anthem Kids a safe, Biblically relevant, and fun environment for your kids. In addition, we have a Security team in place whose sole focus for the morning is ensuring the safety of each child (and adult) who joins us each Sunday morning.
If there are any relevant situations that you believe we should be aware of (relatives with restraining orders, etc.), please let the Service Hosts know when you check-in.

Birth - starting to walk

If you have questions about which classroom your child should be in, please ask the Service Host when you check in your child, or shoot Christy Martino a note below.
For kids ages 2.5-5th grade we currently use the Gospel Project as a tool to help our kids grow to be more and more like Jesus. Gospel Project takes kids on a 3 year Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything. ALL the kids will learn the same passages each week, so that means if you have a 3 year old and a 4th grader they will be learning the same principles and stories each week.
We have a heart to provide a safe and loving community for children with special needs.
Our Special Friend volunteers have received special training in order to focus solely on your child's individual needs in the classroom. Their focus on a Sunday morning will be to address the needs of your child, helping integrating them into the traditional Anthem Kids program to the best of their ability.
If you believe your child would benefit from the care of a Special Friend, we would love to meet with you to learn how to best support your family and help your child participate in Anthem Kids. Please contact Christy Martino at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know of your needs.
One of the biggest joys we have as a church is seeing parents choose to commit to raise their children in a way that points them to their loving Savior Jesus, and helping them find their way back to God in their homes.
