Oct 22 - 29
Welcome to Anthem, a church community following Jesus in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, helping people find their way back to God.
If you have any questions, would like more info, or simply want to connect with someone, take a moment and fill out our connect card.
I hope it has been a great week for you all! We had an amazing family meeting on Sunday night, it was so good to hear how God has been teaching and shaping over the course of the last 18 months. We are very grateful for the time and investment that so many of you have made into the depth and resiliency of your discipleship to Jesus. This has been an amazing Fall so far with Alpha getting started, Celebrate Generosity exceeding all expectations, Community Groups rolling and Anthem Kids Camp booming on Friday nights! We are so excited to see how God will use us to advance his name in our community and around the world. This Sunday, Steve Larson is teaching John 11 and Kristen and I will be in Denver preaching and working with their leadership team. Have a great weekend, can’t wait to see you soon!

Lois Gallardo shared with the kids about Neverthirst, a ministry that brings clean and living water to unreached communities worldwide. The kids learned that there are people in other places in the world who have to walk long distances many times a day to access water, which is sometimes not clean. We spoke to the kids about the part they could play in contributing to the needs of these families, by providing money for wells, pumps and filters, and the kids decorated water cups to take home to collect money for Neverthirst. We encouraged them to earn the money that they would contribute, rather than just asking their parents for it!
Each Friday and Sunday in October, we’ll give the kids the opportunity to give what they have collected during the week.
Volunteering with anthem kids
Now that we have moved to having Anthem Kids (AK) every week, would you consider volunteering 1x per month in AK? It is such a blessing to our kids and families at Anthem… and it's really just a blast to worship and learn about God with the next generation of believers!!
If you have any questions or would be interested in volunteering, please contact Katie Shook at email@example.com.
Excited to serve with you!
Looking for Toy Donations
Now that Anthem Kids is back to meeting every week, we are looking for gently used toys for the baby and toddler rooms. We are specifically in need of a jumperoo, walker, baby books and any other fun toys that you are willing to donate.
Please contact Sally Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to donate.

Giving & Generosity
Giving At Anthem
Giving cheerfully and sacrificially is a part of worship at Anthem. We give generously because God has first been generous to us. We dream of becoming a church marked by radical generosity. Over ten percent of every dollar goes directly to supporting compassion and church planting work both globally and locally.
With Planning Center you can login at any time to view your giving history, make changes to your account, and update giving information.
