The Anthem Weekly
June 13-19
Welcome to Anthem, a church community following Jesus in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, helping people find their way back to God. If you have any questions, would like more info, or simply want to connect with someone, take a moment and fill out our connect card.
Hello Anthem Church!
I hope you are doing well, we are looking forward to a great weekend together! On Sunday we will be opening up the Scriptures for our second week in the amazing book of Numbers. We will be celebrating Father’s Day with breakfast tacos being served in between our two gatherings! And we will be celebrating a baptism together… it’s going to be an amazing Sunday of worshipping Jesus together.
Our Yugo team will be heading to Mexico on Sunday to build two homes and bring the Gospel to the community. Please be praying for open doors for the Gospel, travel grace, and team unity as they begin their journey on Sunday morning
This Thursday we will have our first of three worship nights this summer. We would love to have you join us from 7-8 in the chapel this Thursday. Check out the video for more of the “what” and the “why” of these worship nights.
Kids camp starts next Monday! Please be praying over the team’s preparation for the 120+ kids that have signed up to come hear about Jesus and connect with each other.
We are trusting God to shape some important things in our church in this season. Have a great weekend and we hope to see you on Sunday!
-Matt

Numbers is a sobering account of how God’s people repeatedly rejected His presence, turning blessing into rebellion. What begins with hope—a camp organized around God’s glory—unravels into grumbling, doubt, and outright defiance. Yet even as Israel resists His leading, God remains faithful, calling them forward with both judgment and mercy. Numbers challenges us to examine our own hearts: Will we reject God’s presence through fear and discontent, or will we trust that His presence is our greatest blessing and the only way home?
Check out the series resources, bible reading plan, and companion booklet to join in with our study of Numbers!
