The Anthem Weekly
Apr 24 - May 1
Welcome to Anthem, a church community following Jesus in the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, helping people find their way back to God. If you have any questions, would like more info, or simply want to connect with someone, take a moment and fill out our connect card.
Hey Anthem Church!
What an amazing Easter Sunday! It was so good to be with you and see all your amazing faces. For those of you who lost count, we got to see 23 baptisms happen on Sunday! The stories are still coming in, but of those 23, 6 of them were planned and the other 17 were in response to the call. Of those 17, at least 4 of them were first time decisions to follow Jesus on Sunday! It was such a gift to witness people proclaiming Jesus’ name with such joy. This weekend I’ll be teaching from Colossians 3, a follow up message to Easter Sunday about living as people raised with Christ. We can’t wait to be together with our church family this weekend.

On Sunday, May 4th at 4PM we’ll be having our first All In Sunday of the year! God has been stirring and working in some powerful ways through the prayer room and through our Easter gathering and we would love to celebrate God's leading together. This All In Sunday will be a night of celebrating God together through testimony and storytelling. We would love to hear how God is moving! So, we have a couple requests… First, please RSVP for All In Sunday to contribute to the meal and if you need it, to sign up for childcare. Second, would you share a story of what God has been doing in/through this season either in the prayer room, baptism or through our Easter Sunday gathering.
Stories of:
God’s provision
Opportunities to share the Gospel
Transformation in your own life
Answers to prayer
Moments of forgiveness/reconciliation/restoration
A testimony from your baptism
If you would like to share a story with the church for All In Sunday there are a couple ways you can do that:
1. Come to All In Sunday with a story ready to share (approx. 2-3 minutes, let us know at info@anthemchurch.org that you have a story to share with an brief overview)
(Or, if you're not able to make it)
2. Write up the story and share it with us at Info@anthemchurch.org
3. Film a short video of yourself sharing your story and let us know about it and we can give you instructions on how to share it with us (Info@anthemchurch.org)
We are really looking forward to celebrating God's faithfulness and looking forward to where we go from here as a church.
We can't wait to see you this weekend and next week for All In Sunday!

The Anthem YUGO missions team is busy preparing for the trip to Ensenada this June to construct TWO homes for local families. We are very excited for the work God is preparing for us, and we are excited to invite you, our Anthem family, to participate in the work and blessing of this trip through prayer and financial support.
In addition to the construction of the two homes, we want to fill each home with beds, a kitchenette, a power supply, and extra amenities so that each family will have the joy of walking into a new home completely ready and outfitted for family life.
The team will have an Information and Giving table on the chapel patio after each gathering during several upcoming Sunday mornings. Please come visit the table to find out more and prayerfully consider whether God is leading you to participate financially in this year’s mission.
If you have any questions, please email Andrew Van Gundy or Doug Graham.

Hello Anthem Church! As God continues to bless our church with growth in many different areas, we're feeling the need to add one more person to our staff team to help us with a host of administratively oriented items. We would love to have someone who could commit up to 20 hours per week (primarily in the office, but some work can be done remotely). We'll list out some of the responsibilities in a linked document below, but if you're a part of Anthem Church, have had other people affirm an administrative gift in you, and are available mid-day throughout the week, we would love to chat with you! We're hoping to have the right person in place soon, so please feel free to reach out quickly!
For more information, or to schedule a conversation to see if this would be a good fit, email Ryan Hinkle at ryan@anthemchurch.org.
Local & Global Partnerships
We love having moments to highlight some of the different organizations and ministries that we partner with and to let you know of ways you can get involved.

ZOE is a ministry that rescues children out of sex and labor slavery, primarily in Thailand, as well as other areas of the world include California. They do this with a heart for the Gospel and full partnership with the local church.
Zoe is having a Fundraising Walk on April 26th. If you are interesting in joining the Anthem team, please reach out to Grace Watts at geaford@gmail.com.
