Anthem Thousand Oaks is part a family of churches helping people find their way back to God. The Anthem family of churches is united around shared mission, vision, values, and submission to the Lordship of King Jesus. In our cities, we are working to obey Jesus in helping people find their way back to God.
what are sundays like?
Sunday gatherings with Anthem are about 90 minutes in length. Our Sunday gatherings typically look like this:
- We start with worshiping Jesus by singing. Lyrics are projected on a big screen, so don't worry if you don't know the songs!
- Someone will get up and share a quick welcome, a few next steps for those who are new to our church, and any important things coming up.
- One of our pastors will share a teaching from the Bible. If you want to check out some past sermons, click here to watch/listen to past sermons →
- We end our gathering with responding to the word of God and the message of the gospel by: singing, receiving communion, giving, and praying for one another.
what about my kids?
Anthem Kids is available during our gatherings for all kids aged 0-5th grade.
Once you're parked in the parking lot, head up the short flight of stairs to the building that looks like a school, and we'll happily show you around Anthem Kids, and make sure you and your kids are comfortable and excited to hang with us. If this is your first time checking in your child, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get all set up.
If you have kids who are in grades 6-9 at 11am, Anthem Students does things a bit different. Please bring your students with you into the main gathering in the Chapel. If they're comfortable, they're welcome to join the rest of the students in the front left corner of the room for worship time. They're also welcome to stick with you for the first part of the gathering.
After some singing, we'll invite the students to join a group of leaders next door at the Anthem Office, where they will hear a message from one of our Anthem Students leaders that is about the same part of the Bible we'll be teaching from in the Chapel, but geared much more to students.
Students join the adults again towards the end of the service for communion, singing, etc.
